Modern Families Index Report 2022
This year’s Modern Families Index Spotlight reveals the future of work for families and employers as we learn to live in the hybrid working world, and with new expectations of work-life balance.
Working parents and carers represent key talent and diversity populations: they often have years of experience and they bring passionately-held consumer and client insights from their lived-experience.
The 2022 findings show how working parents are resetting and rethinking their priorities. The infographic-rich report emphasises actions for employers who wish to embrace these changes and retain their talent.
In this year’s study of 1,000 working parents, we shine a light on three key findings: the very real flight risk as many re-evaluate their careers, the evolving expectations of flexibility, and the high priority placed on family life.
We present practical actions that leading employers should take to engage their working parents and carers – especially the younger generations and those with eldercare responsibilities.
Key highlights from this year’s report include:
- Well over a third of employees are likely to look for a new job in 2022.
- Over 2/3 of all respondents desire flexibility on their time and place of work.
- 56% believe that career progression is possible while working flexibly.
- 55% of parents are concerned about the impact of the pandemic on their child’s education.
